OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Vice President of Tax & Treasury, you will lead tax and treasury strategies for Fastenal’s global operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing strategic goals that are aligned with company objectives
o Understanding business operations and partnering with various leaders to develop solutions to support continued growth and development of the company
o Overseeing global tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing, managing tax controversies, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations
o Leading the global cash management function, including forecasting and liquidity planning, and maintaining external relationships with financial institutions.
o Building, leading, and mentoring high-performing tax and treasury teams; fostering professional growth and succession planning
o Providing leadership in the design of tax & treasury systems and internal controls
o Developing, training, and motivating others in achieving team and individual goals
o Maintaining compliance with US GAAP, international accounting standards, and SEC rules and regulations
o Performing special projects, analysis, and other administrative tasks as necessary
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills and qualifications for this position include:
o Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience
o Possess at least 10 years of progressive Accounting, Finance or Tax leadership work experience with a demonstrated ability to drive strategy and improve business processes
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach, including the ability to coordinate across teams and departments
o Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and ability to improve processes
o Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others
o Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision making skills
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o CPA preferred
o Willingness and ability to travel

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:
Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.
COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $175,000 - $230,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
