OVERVIEW:
As Director of Treasury, you will be responsible for leading Fastenal’s day-to-day treasury operations, including liquidity management, cash forecasting, banking administration and treasury controls. This role drives treasury strategy in collaboration with senior finance leadership by translating priorities into disciplined execution, strong governance and reliable operational processes that protect the company’s financial flexibility and support business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Lead cash positioning, liquidity forecasting and daily treasury operations to ensure efficient funding and visibility across the business
o Execute treasury activities related to credit facilities, debt compliance, banking administration and other financing support processes
o Manage banking relationships at the operating level, including account structure, services, fees, documentation, user access and ongoing maintenance
o Monitor treasury-related financial exposures and prepare analysis to support senior leadership decision-making related to liquidity, interest rates, foreign exchange and counterparty risk
o Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal and business leaders to improve cash forecasting, working capital visibility and treasury process execution
o Maintain treasury policies, controls and governance processes to support compliance, audit readiness and strong financial stewardship
o Prepare treasury reporting, analyses and materials for senior finance leadership, lenders, auditors and other stakeholders as needed
o Drive treasury process improvements, system enhancements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency, visibility and control
o Develop and coach treasury team members while fostering a disciplined, collaborative and continuous improvement mindset
o Performing special projects, analysis and other administrative tasks as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills and qualifications for this position include:
o Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance OR equivalent work experience
o Possess at least 5 years of progressive treasury, cash management, corporate finance or related leadership experience
o Demonstrated knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, debt administration, treasury controls and banking operations
o Strong analytical, execution-oriented and decision-making skills
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach, including the ability to coordinate across teams and departments
o Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing abilities
o High level of accuracy and attention to detail
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Proficient using PeopleSoft, treasury management systems or similar ERP platforms
o Experience with bank account administration, credit agreement support, debt compliance tracking and lender communications
o Professional certification such as CTP, CPA or CFA

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $114,000 - 142,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
