OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of audit and analytical functions. This position will report to the Internal Audit Manager. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Documenting processes and procedures of various Fastenal Company finance departments
o Assisting with internal control design, documentation, and implementation
o Performing specific audit test plans to ensure compliance with relevant company accounting requirements and standards
o Performing analytical analyses of financial and operational data
o Investigating reported or suspected unethical activity
o Completing special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned, including assisting other Fastenal Company finance departments

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older
o Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting or related Business field OR have relevant work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Willingness to travel
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous experience using PeopleSoft

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $42,000 - 52,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
